I’ve been re-loving REM these days so the temporary name is Orange Crush. We’ve had fun trying to come up with names… Sunkissed… Phoenix… Cheeto… none are inspiring just yet. I will let her name herself when it’s time.
I wanted to give you a tour of my Squaredrop. It’s 5×8, perfect for a queen-size mattress. The tongue is long and has plenty of room to add in a storage box and even haul some bikes. The galley is ample and has lots of room for chairs, cooking gear, sleeping bags, etc. There are two doors, with windows and screens. They also both lock and deadbolt. The roof is carpeted and includes a rooftop vent. The sides are beautifully finished wood and the floor is protected with linoleum. The ceiling and front wall are insulated.
List of modifications I plan on doing over the next several months:
- 6″ Memory Foam Mattress –Â I went with a 6″ memory foam mattress to make sure there was still plenty of door opening.
- Fully Encased Waterproof Mattress Protector
- Beddy Sheet/Blanket Set
- Roof Racks – need to make these, or have them custom-made.
- Solar Panels
- Goal Zero Generator
- Television
- WiFi
- Air Conditioner
- Ceramic Heater
Mattress and protector are on their way here, I’m ready to take them out base camping this weekend. In the meantime, it is also available for rent on Outdoorsy!
