Today I did a thing!! I purchased my first gravel bike and I couldn’t be more excited! I knew my local bike shop had a big sale going on, and I reluctantly went in there yesterday to pick up a gift for my dad (reluctant because I didn’t really need to spend the money on a new bike right now and I knew they were having a sale); They had 3 really great gravel bike options. I came home, crunched some numbers, and got to the bike shop as soon as they opened this morning and came home with a Cannondale Topstone. It’s sparkly black and I love her. A huge shout out to Bill, the owner of Ride On, for making the experience such a joy. Not only did I get a great deal, but he gave me insider tips on taking top-notch bike photographs on the trail. Oh, the places we’ll go.
Took the reflectors off after I got home, apparently, they are a “cycling newbie” thing. Now all she needs is some flair!
